Brett M. Gardiner, DDS
Dr. Gardiner moved to Alaska in 1994 after graduating from Creighton University's School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. Originally planning on working here for 3-5 years, he soon realized that Alaska was the place he wanted to call home.
Dr Gardiner lived in Wyoming and Utah. He attended Brigham Young University, served 2 years on a church mission in Guatemala, where he learned fluent Spanish, and then attended Creighton University’s School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska. With 25 years of experience in dentistry, he brings kindness and compassion to the care he gives his patients. When not at work, he relishes time spent with his family, which includes his wife, Kristy, and their three children; Dallin, Jared and Jenna. If not just enjoying being together, they will be found participating in church activities, the kids’ school activities or various sports, where Dr Gardiner will often be found coaching, something he loves. (He does leave the teaching of Jenna’s occasional dance class to the professionals, however.)
Steve Howard, DDS
Dr. Howard was born in San Francisco, Califomia and was raised in Kaysville, Utah. He played basketball in college for Ricks College, then UAA. That was when he fell in love with Alaska. After attending UAA, he finished his undergraduate work at the University of Utah. He went to dental school at the prestigious University of the Pacific in San Francisco. Dr. Howard and his family then moved back to Utah where he practiced for the next 7 years. In 2009, He talked his wife and family into moving back to Alaska.
He loves dentistry and his patients and looks forward to serving you. Dr. Howard and his wife, Tia, have 5 kids. They love to explore Alaska. They especially love the abundant wildlife and majestic scenery. They also enjoy watching and supporting their kids sports and extracurricular activities.
Kevin J. Parks, DDS
Dr. Parks grew up in Anchorage, AK where he attended the University Of Anchorage Alaska and played on the men's basketball team during the 1997-1998 season. He then attended and graduated from Southern Virginia University where he met his wife Tiffany and began their current family of six, Jared, Anna, Audrey, and Natalie. Upon graduating from the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Parks and his family drove across the continent to Anchorage, AK in six days. He enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors, coaching his children's recreation teams, spending time together on the Kenai Peninsula, and planning their next grand adventure.
During his dental education, Dr. Parks was involved with Mission of Mercy, providing dental care to the underserved populations of the Appalachia. In addition he traveled to Hondo Valle to provide dental care to the rural communities of the Dominican Republic. While studying at the University of Maryland he received accolades from the University in Implant Studies, from the Northeast Periodontal Chapter for excellence in clinical and didactic application, and a Dean's Award for his volunteer work in the local community. After working in several offices, Dr. Parks has found a home with the team at Alaska Dental Care and feels their mission statement compliments his own approach to providing dental services. "My goal is to provide the best oral health care utilizing a gentle and conservative approach."
Dr. Tracy was raised in northern Utah. He served a 2 year church mission in Chile where he learned fluent Spanish. He returned to Utah where he attended Utah State University and met his wife, Erin. They then moved to Richmond Virginia where he attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.
After graduating from VCU, Dr. Tracy joined the Air Force as a dentist. He and his family have lived in Omaha Nebraska, Ramstein Germany, and now Anchorage. Dr. Tracy and his wife now have 3 boys, Owen, Derek and Everett. As a family they love traveling and spending as much time outdoors as they can. They enjoy spending time as a family skiing, camping, fishing, hiking and supporting each other in their many activities and hobbies.
As a dentist, Dr. Tracy has led a service centered career with the military and participating in multiple mission trips. He finds great joy and professional satisfaction helping people through dentistry.
Richard E. Williams, DDS
Dr. Williams grew up in Southern California, obtained a degree in Zoology from the University of California Riverside and graduated from the U.S.C. School of Dentistry. He has served as president of the Anchorage Dental Society and on the board of the United Way and American Cancer Society. Dr. Williams's passion for leading edge dentistry has taken him across the U.S. and Canada attending the best programs available in advanced dental continuing education. He is currently the only “accredited” member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in Alaska. He has 2 sons and 2 daughters, and has shared bicycling adventures with them by riding across the United States from Bar Harbor Maine to Anacortes Washington. He enjoys traveling, photography, N.P.R., hiking and USC football.
